Following a Water Bailiff operation in June 2013, a male from Arbroath was found with 16 fish, including sea trout, which had all been illegally netted off Elliot Sands, near Arbroath.  Police Scotland, assisted by the NWCU, reported the case to the Crown Office.  On 7th March 2014, the male was fined £300 from Arbroath Sheriff Court.
