Contemporary and innovative Scottish luxury lodge builder applecrate has started 2014 with the announcement of a new development on the exclusive multi award winning Isle of Eriska resort on the west coast of Scotland.
Situated in one of the most beautiful locations in the country the 'Applecrate Hilltop Reserves' at Eriska will be built with stunning 360 degree views over Loch Creran and the Scottish Islands.
Renowned Hotelier and applecrate Chairman Peter Lederer CBE said:
"We are delighted to announce the first applecrate development of 2014. Applecrate is the next generation of luxury standalone accommodation and Eriska embodies what we are all about - peace and solitude in a stunning natural environment with all the luxury of a 5 star resort at your fingertips.
"Many guests want to get away from it all but still be close to the spa or the restuarant. They are seeking peace and quiet but want wifi and room service. Applecrate combines stunning contemporary design with craftsmanship to take luxury to where people want it - off-road and Eriska is the perfect setting."
The first tranche will see two one-bedroom luxury fully fitted applecrate's, guest-ready within 10 weeks. Stunning floor to ceiling glass walls, cedar lining, luxury bathroom with underfloor heating and hot tub on the deck taking in the world beating views. Sustainably fuelled by Air Sourced Heat Pumps Eriska's applecrates will gently blend into the environment and are built to be considerate of it.
Designed to exploit the growing desire for luxury escapism applecrate uniquely combines 30 years of brilliant timber and glass construction and design experience with the very best of luxury hospitality and resort management.
Beppo Buchanan-Smith, owner of the multi-award-winning Isle of Eriska Hotel, Spa & Island in Argyll, said:
"We'd been looking at possible alternatives for developing our accommodation experience at Eriska. Applecrate came along at the right time and perfectly articulated what I'd been searching for.
"I was able to sit with the design team and use their expertise to design exactly what my guests are demanding. It fits perfectly with my business and my guests are already queuing up.
"One of the main attractions is that the applecrate team think like hoteliers and every applecrate is handcrafted and bespoke. This results in design that makes the most of the space, is robust enough to deal with the west of Scotland climate but also considers current and future trends, and, critically, operations issues and costs."
Peter Lederer continues:
"Our aim is to create stunning spaces designed to meet growing travel trends and to take full advantage of every season. Our designs will bring the outside in making it as attractive to take a break in the depths of winter as it would be in the middle of summer. Our contemporary, innovative designs are driven by simplicity and sustainability with every applecrate being handmade in Scotland and fully customised for a market that we understand.
"Whether it's on the beach in Cornwall, the woods in the Lake District or the loch side in the Highlands applecrate will blend seamlessly into the environment allowing you to exploit your best natural assets, increase revenues and extent the season.
"It's an exciting and innovative new product bringing luxury and peace and quiet together on your guest's terms."
