A room of Scottish Land & Estates members from across the regions met at Drumlanrig earlier this week to discuss Whole Estate Development Planning. Mark Coombs and Andrew Sneddon of Buccleuch provided an overview presentation of the business tool which is used to assist in the effective management of land use to sustain future development of the estate.

This discussion event - part of the programme of events designed to share experiences and information and encourage discussion and questions - allowed members to openly hear how Buccleuch strategise their business processes to allow for future estate sustainability and development.  The process takes into account mapping, financial, socio economic and environmental factors, providing analysis on best business practice.

Attendees openly asked questions and debated how this tool can help to guide in business - now and in the future.
