Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute has been recognised at the prestigious 2014 Hudson’s Heritage Awards which were announced on Tuesday 18 February at Goldsmiths Hall in London. Mount Stuart scooped top spot winning Best Eating Out and was runner up for Best Wedding Venue. The awards, established in 2011, are an independently judged annual national awards scheme open to historic houses, gardens, museums and heritage sites and celebrate the very best heritage experiences.
The 11 categories reward a range of visitor experiences and recognise the best heritage attractions in the whole of the UK. The awards were presented by Loyd Grossman OBE who congratulated Mount Stuart on their awards, commenting “The judges were particularly impressed by the good value in the visitor restaurant and believe that Mount Stuart is perhaps one of the most spectacular places in the country to hold a wedding.”
