Do you have a loch that holds more than 10,000 cubic metres of water?

The Government are current consulting on the implementation of the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011.  This Act brings artificial or partly-artificial lochs holding more than 10,000 cubic metres of water within the regulatory regime of reservoirs.  This could include many fishing lochs.

Scottish Land & Estates full briefing on the consultation is available at http://www.scottishlandandestates.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2623:reservoirs-scotland-act-2011-consultation-on-commencement-and-regulations&catid=93:water&Itemid=126

Scottish Land & Estates are preparing a response to this consultation.  If you would like to discuss it or see a copy of the draft response, contact Anne Gray at Headquarters before Monday, 22 July 2013.  T. 0131 653 5400 or E.
