Walk & Talk Event at Raehills Estate

Members from across the country met at Raehills Estate, St Anns, Lockerbie on Tuesday 25 June for an event looking at ‘How to Renovate Hard to Treat Houses’.

This Walk & Talk event was a first for the South West region and proved highly successful with registration closed due to full numbers after only one week.  Delegates were taken around the estate to various projects which Lord David Johnstone has underway - looking at the renovation of these properties and the issue of fuel poverty.  In addition, Scottish Land & Estates member Eco Insulate were on hand to provide a live demonstration of the insulation treatment / injection process at one of the cottages.  David also took members to Raehills Home Farm to look at a series of redundant buildings – how they will be improved and open discussion on ideas for development.

Special thanks go to David for hosting and presenting the event – and for the lovely lunch thereafter…

A full summary of the event will be available soon.
