Ofgem have published updated drafts of the ‘Guidance for Generators’, the ‘Fuel Measurement and Sampling (FMS) guidance’, the ‘Biodiesel and Fossil Derived Bioliquids guidance’ and the ‘Guidance for licensed electricity suppliers’.Ofgem have published updated drafts of the ‘Guidance for Generators’, the ‘Fuel Measurement and Sampling (FMS) guidance’, the ‘Biodiesel and Fossil Derived Bioliquids guidance’ and the ‘Guidance for licensed electricity suppliers’.

The RO (Amendment) Order 2013 and the RO (Scotland) Amendment Order 2013 came into force on 1 April but the RO (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) (NIRO) 2013 is not yet in force. Ofgem have therefore published the updated guidance documents in draft form and will publish the final versions once the NIRO 2013 Order is in force. In the meantime, generating stations under the NIRO should continue to refer to the previous versions of the guidance documents. Generating stations that come under England, Wales and Scotland legislation should use these updated draft versions published on 3 April 2013 until the final versions are published. Ofgem will advise all stakeholders once the final versions of the guidance have been published.

Please refer to their website for further information and to access the documents: www.ofgem.gov.uk/ro.

Ofgem would like to thank all stakeholders who provided feedback during the respective feedback periods on each of the four guidance documents. Ofgem have also published a ‘Stakeholder response’ document which sets out a summary of the changes they have made to the Guidance for Generators and the FMS guidance since the feedback periods closed.
