Aquaculture Bill Update

The Aquaculture and Fisheries (Scotland) Bill which was introduced in the Scottish Parliament in October 2012 contains provision about fish farming and shellfish farming; about salmon fisheries and freshwater fisheries; about sea fisheries; about shellfish waters and fisheries for shellfish; about charging in connection with functions relating to fish farming, shellfish farming, salmon fisheries, freshwater fisheries and sea fisheries; and fixed penalty notices for offences under certain aquaculture, fisheries and other marine legislation. It completed Stage 2 in the Parliament last week and amendments for Stage 3 may now be lodged with the clerks in the legislation team.
