Schmallenberg (SBV) update


The Scottish Government is continuing to urge farmers across the country to remain vigilant for signs of the Schmallenberg Virus (SBV) since it was first detected in Scottish herds in 2012.
SBV is spread by insect vectors, including midges.
SBV is not notifiable in the UK and no restrictions are placed on infected premises.
