Updated guidance on forestry waste

SEPA has published updated guidance on the management of forestry waste, which has been prompted by forest clearance relating to energy developments.

In this document SEPA explain their approach to the large quantities of timber that may be removed from a site and how they would interpret whether or not the activity falls within the waste regulations.

The guidance can be found here: http://www.sepa.org.uk/waste/waste_regulation/idoc.ashx?docid=13ce5bb6-6145-42cc-a3d3-ccc750773448&version=-1

Developers should always engage with SEPA at an early opportunity if advice is required on specific proposals.
