Scottish Land & Estates held a reception at Holyrood with the Historic Houses Association for Scotland (HHA), which was very kindly hosted by Graeme Dey MSP and attended by many cross party MSPs.
The aim of the reception was to highlight the contribution made by historic house, land, estate and rural business owners across Scotland.
The event benefitted from the attendance of a very large number of cross party ministers, who were very pleased to hear from the speakers: Graeme Dey MSP, Luke Borwick Scottish Land & Estates Chairman, Alick Hay and Richard Compton of the HHA.
Speaking at the event Luke Borwick of Scottish Land & Estates said: 'Scotland's historic house owners and landowners in general play a vital role in driving overseas visitors to Scotland and thus form an important part of Scotland's tourism sector. We know that our members contribute a great deal to Scotland's economy and together we can do so much more. It is very encouraging to see so many people here tonight who share that view and I am very grateful to Graeme Dey MSP for making this evening possible.'
