Amendments to Planning legislation

A number of amendments to planning legislation have now been approved and come into force on 2 February 2013 - further details of legislation. These changes relate to:

  1. removal of the statutory requirement for pre-application consultation (PAC) with communities from applications for planning permission for changes to conditions; and
  2. allowing applicants and planning authorities to agree in writing an extended period beyond the prescribed period for determining an application for local development delegated to an appointed person.
