Active Places funding

Members are reminded that the closing date for the first round of “Active Places”, the Scottish Government’s Commonwealth Games 2014 legacy fund, is 1 February 2013. Details below ...

Members wishing to develop projects in conjunction with their local community may be interested in the Scottish Government's Commonwealth Games Legacy 2014 programme: http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2012/10/legacyfund23102012.

The Legacy 2014 Active Places Fund makes available grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 for a very wide range of community-led projects.

which includes the types of project which are eligible for funding. The funding area entitled "outdoor and adventure sport" includes a range of outdoor access-related infrastructure such as paths, car parking, signage and toilets.
