Bracken Control: Application for an Emergency Authorisation

The application was submitted and acknowledged by the Chemicals Regulation Directorate of the HSE on 9 November.  The standard time for a response is 9 weeks, which would mean a response is provided by 11 January.

The application asked for the 120-day Emergency Authorisation period to start on 20 May 2013, with the use-up period extending until the end of October.

The full application is available to view on the documents page of the website and you can appreciate that producing it was a substantial undertaking.  I would like to thank all those who contributed to its production, and in particular I would like to mention, Dr Alastair Leake who coordinated the process and Prof Roy Brown, Dr Alastair Burn and Dr Roderick Robinson who provided their expertise to the drafting process.
