Additional long distance routes to expand Scotland’s Great Trails network for 2013

Scottish Natural Heritage’s Long Distance Routes Project Board has agreed to several new routes being included in the Scotland’s Great Trails branded network for 2013. The routes are the Cross Borders Drove Road, Mull of Galloway Trail, and the Romans and Riivers Route (southwest Scotland from Ae Forest to Hawick).  The Clyde to Forth Cycle Route was also recommended for inclusion, though subsequently SusTrans felt it best to postpone for a year to ensure that it is up to standard.

Scotland’s Great Trails are a network of long distance routes, promoted nationally and further afield by VisitScotland.
