Angus Local Development Plan Main Issues Report & Draft Environmental Report

Angus Council has published for consultation purposes the Angus Local Development Plan Main Issues Report and accompanying Draft Environmental Report.

The Main Issues Report (MIR) is a key stage in determining the planning policy and guidance that will be included in the Local Development Plan which will guide future development in Angus over the period to 2024. The MIR is not a draft plan but is designed to seek views on which policy and development options should be taken forward in the Local Development Plan.

The Angus Local Development Plan Main Issues Report together with associated supporting documents can be viewed online at, during office hours at County Buildings and Angus House, Forfar and in all Angus Council libraries and ACCESS offices.

The closing date for representations on the MIR and Environmental Report is Friday 4 January 2013.

Representations should be made during that period via an online questionnaire, interactive versions of the MIR & Environmental Report or by email. Details on how to comment are available at
