Members Event – Hydro Power at Atholl Estates

Around 30 members and guests gathered at Atholl Estates on Wednesday (17 October 2012) to view firsthand and learn of the recently opened river hydro schemes at Dowally and Loch Broom in Perthshire.

Jamie Troughton and Andrew Bruce Wootton hosted the event and informed those present on the design and development and how the project progressed through feasibility, design, consents, tendering, build and commissioning stages.

This event was the latest informal ‘walk and talk’ Member event to take place in Central Region and allowed those interested in river hydro schemes the opportunity to meet, network and learn from each other in a practical way.

The next event of this nature will allow member to come together on 22 November to learn about Bell Ingram’s Biomass Boiler
