£600,000 for broadband in rural areas

Stirling Council has pledged £600,000 to upgrade broadband coverage in Stirling’s rural communities.

The Scottish Government has said it would fund next generation broadband connection to 75 per cent of premises across Scotland by 2015, as part of the national broadband infrastructure programme
