Helicopters take flight to rescue black grouse

 Helicopters have been hovering in the skies above Callander in a bid to help boost numbers of endangered black grouse. Supported by Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, six farms and estates were awarded a £720K contract under SRPD to deliver the Callander Black Grouse Project. Together they will control over 270 hectares of invasive bracken to improve the habitat for this iconic moorland bird.
