Health and Safety consultations affecting the self-employed

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is currently consulting on proposals for changes to health and safety law which would see some self-employed people exempted from health and safety law and would reduce the reporting requirements when injuries and near misses happen in workplaces.  The HSE is particularly keen to hear from self-employed persons in relation to these consultations. To assist members, Scottish Land & Estates has prepared Briefing Notes to summarise the proposals.

Any comments or feedback on these consultations should be forwarded no later than Friday 12 October 2012 to

Please note that if insufficient feedback is received from members by 12 October 2012, Scottish Land & Estates may take the view that this matter is not a priority for members and therefore reserves its position as to whether a response will be submitted.
