West/Southwest Rural Heritage Tourism Group meets

Scottish Land & Estates West/Southwest Rural Heritage Tourism Group met at Craufurdland Castle in Ayrshire last Wednesday (30 May).  The Group, chaired by Simon Houison Craufurd, aims to work with initiatives that promote a range of rural tourism offerings which have a built, natural or cultural heritage link.

The agenda covered Visit Scotland’s new website project, the Scottish Land & Estates supported “Go Rural” initiative, consideration of the Southern Uplands Partnership’s Galloway & South Ayrshire Biosphere designation and the Group’s potential future engagement with the Pan Ayrshire Tourism Strategy.
