Terrier attacks lambs

A GLENSHEE farmer has suffered the "devastating" loss of 20 lambs after a Patterdale terrier ran riot in one of his fields.
David Stewart of Mains of Dalrulzion Farm had been in the process of lambing his 1000 ewes inside when the terrier struck on a field out of sight.
While checking the field he noticed the terrier causing carnage and killing three lambs just as he opened the gate. In the time it took for Mr Stewart to fetch a gun, the dog had killed 10 more lambs. With his collies he managed to scare the dog, which then ran away, leaving a scene of devastation.
