Eagle versus sheep

AN ANGRY sheep farmer has called for greater control of eagles after she filmed one attacking a healthy lamb.
Moyra Gray, Scollys Cross, Banchory, was out checking her sheep on May 4 when she saw an eagle swooping at a ewe and its lamb, pecking at them both as the ewe tries to butt the eagle away.
Mrs Gray had been worried about eagle attacks in the area so filmed the incident on her mobile phone to prove what she saw.
Mrs Gray's filmclip was posted onto The Scottish Farmer's Facebook webpage midweek, where it immediately sparked fierce debate over what it did – and did not – prove as regards eagle predation of lambs. Judge for yourself at
