Tayside Beaver Group

The Tayside Beaver Group (TBG)will hold its first meeting in May under the chairmanship of Scottish Natural Heritage. The Scottish Government directed the establishment of the new group to monitor the Tayside Beaver populations and help avoid and manage conflict between the animals and land managers in the areas where they have established colonies. Scottish Land & Estates will be represented on the group by Mr David Gemmell of Delvine, nr Murthly. Mr Gemmell is experienced in the management of captive Beaver in Scotland and is widely respected across the sector. Regular updates on the work of the TBG will be posted on the SL&E website
