HM the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Beacons

You may have heard of the plan to light beacons throughout the United Kingdom in celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee on the evening of Monday 4th June.   Throughout Perth & Kinross, towns, villages, churches and other organisations will be building and lighting beacons.

It is also hoped that as many private individuals as possible who have a suitable site or sites for a beacon to take part as well.  There are so many hilltops and other prominent places which, if lit up by beacons, would make a wonderful spectacle and a splendid contribution to the event.

If you would like to contribute to the celebrations by building and lighting one or more beacons, please complete and return the attached form by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or by post to: Jubilee Beacons, PO Box 7208, Pitlochry PH9 0YF. Your beacon will then be included in the book of beacons that will be presented to the Queen after the event.
