Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Vacancy 

£27,374 to £32,951 per annum

37.5 hours per week

  Based at National Park Headquarters, Balloch

  Ref: LLTNP/03/01/SE13

 Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to provide expert advice and guidance in the specialist area of land management to both internal and external customers. This will involve developing related strategies, projects and initiatives which deliver multiple benefits for landscape, natural heritage and recreational access on both public and private land within the National Park.

There will also be a requirement to develop high quality management plans and/or prescriptions at the level of individual sites, whole farms or estates and/or local regions (e.g. landscapes, catchments, etc)

If you have the following skills:

 •A degree, or equivalent in a land management / environmental management/ agriculture/ forestry/ nature conservation discipline

 •Comprehensive understanding of land managers’ practical, economic and regulatory imperatives

 •Knowledge of land use systems, specifically including livestock farming, forestry, sporting management and conservation

 •Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following themes: agri-environment and/or business development for land-based businesses, including performance analysis and options appraisal, including diversification options (including renewables) and value adding options (including processing and/or branding)

 •An understanding of national and European regulations, policies and support and incentive schemes related to land management  •A driving license is required as there will be the need to get to relatively remote parts of the area poorly served by public transport.  (Use of a National Park Authority vehicle will be given for work journeys).
