Feed-in Tariff Announcement

The Department of Energy and Climate Change has today published a series of documents which mark a crucial turning point for the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme.  These are:

1. UK Government response to the consultation on FITs for solar PV.  The new tariffs are designed to apply to all installations with an eligibility date from 3 March onwards.  With regards to energy efficiency requirements, DECC have concluded that this should be based on Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of level D or above.

2. A consultation on solar PV cost controls which will close on 3 April.

3. A consultation on tariffs for FIT technologies other than PV, and other scheme administration issues.  This will close on 26 April.
